Use Desk View on Mac
You can use Desk View with FaceTime and other apps to show your face and an overhead view of your desk at the same time.
Note: Desk View is only available on Mac computers with the 12MP Center Stage camera and when using your iPhone as a webcam with iPhone 11 or later, excluding iPhone SE.
Go to an app that captures video on your Mac.
If you’re using your iPhone as a webcam, attach your iPhone to your Mac with a stand accessory.
Click
in the menu bar, then click Desk View.
Desk View opens, which mimics an overhead camera and shows a top-down view of your desk.
Tip: If you’re in a FaceTime call, you can also click the Desk View button in the top-right corner of the video window.
Use the Desk View setup window to align your desk with the camera. To zoom in or out, drag the onscreen control at the bottom of the window. You may also want to adjust the angle of your display or the position of your computer on your desk. When you’re ready, click Start Desk View or Share Desk View.
To share what’s on your desk in a third-party app, use the app’s screen-sharing feature to select the Desk View window for sharing. To find out how, see the developer’s instructions or explore the app’s menus and settings.
To turn off Desk View, close the Desk View window or choose Desk View > Quit Desk View in the menu bar.
