Manage existing users in Apple Business
Overview
You can manage existing users in Apple Business, such as editing their account information to change the user’s name. Depending on your role, you can do such things as reset a user’s Managed Apple Account password and send them a new temporary password so they can sign in. You can also deactivate, reactivate, or delete users.
To view which accounts can be deactivated, reactivated, or deleted, see User status.
Important: Users invited with their unmanaged Apple Accounts can’t be managed in the same way users with Managed Apple Accounts can.
How do I deactivate user accounts?
You can deactivate user accounts so that the selected users are unable to use their Managed Apple Account to sign in. If a manually created user account is in a deactivated state for more than 30 days, it’s automatically deleted.
How do I reactivate user accounts?
You can reactivate user accounts so that the selected users are able to use their Managed Apple Account again.
How do I delete user accounts?
You can delete manually created user accounts; however, active accounts first need to be deactivated. If a user never signed in using their Managed Apple Account, then the account is inactive and can be deleted.
See Delete a single deactivated user and Delete multiple deactivated users.
