
Use Blueprints in Apple Configurator for Mac
Use Blueprints to record actions that you can apply to actual devices. You add configuration profiles and apps to Blueprints just as you add them to a physical device. You can simply attach the device management service information and supervision identity to a Blueprint. You can also add specific actions to a Blueprint, such as putting the device into Single App Mode. When you have the Blueprint the way you want, you can apply it to a device.
Create a Blueprint
- In Apple Configurator  , click the Edit Blueprint button , click the Edit Blueprint button in the toolbar, then select Edit Blueprints. in the toolbar, then select Edit Blueprints.
- Click New and rename the Blueprint from Untitled to a name you choose. 
- You can now: - Add profiles, apps, and actions to your Blueprint 
- Run the Prepare Device Assistant on your Blueprint 
 
- When you finish, click Done in the lower right corner of the device window. 
Apply a Blueprint
- In Apple Configurator  , select one or more devices in the device window. , select one or more devices in the device window.
- Choose Actions > Apply > [name of Blueprint]. - All Blueprint actions are performed, all Blueprint profiles and apps are added, and if the Prepare Device Assistant was configured, it configures the devices.
