Add a drop shadow to a layer in Pixelmator Pro on Mac
The Shadow layer style adds a drop shadow below a selected layer, adding dimension and depth to a layer.
In Pixelmator Pro on Mac, select a layer in the Layers sidebar.
Select
in the Tools sidebar.
In the Style inspector, click Add Style, then choose Drop Shadow.
In the Shadow section, adjust any of the following controls:
Blur: Drag the slider to adjust the shadow diffusion.
Distance: Drag the slider to adjust how far the shadow is from the object. Press and hold Option while dragging to extend the range past 100 pixels.
Angle: Drag the wheel to change the angle of the shadow.
Color: Click the color well then choose a color.
Opacity: Drag the slider to adjust the transparency of the shadow.
Blend Mode: Click the Opacity pop-up menu, then choose a blend mode.
