Resize an image in Pixelmator Pro on Mac
You can change the size of an image using measuring units such as pixels, inches, and centimeters.
If you’re working on an image for the web or one that will only be displayed on a screen, resize it using pixels. If you’re preparing a file for print, use inches or centimeters with an appropriate resolution.
In Pixelmator Pro on Mac, choose Image > Image Size.
Click the unit pop-up menu next to Width and Height, then choose a unit of measurement.
Enter a new width and height for the image, as well as a resolution.
By default, “Scale proportionally” is selected, which ensures that the image will retain the same width-to-height ratio after scaling. If you don’t want to scale the image proportionally, deselect this option.
Select an image-scaling algorithm:
Bilinear: Good for resizing images in most use cases.
Lanczos: Good for resizing images with small details.
Nearest Neighbor: Copies the color of the nearest pixel when resizing, resulting in a blocky, pixellated look.
Super Resolution: Preserves sharpness and details intelligently. Ideal for making an image larger.
Click OK.
