Change Screen Time Content & Privacy preferences on Mac
Use the Content pane of Screen Time Content & Privacy preferences to restrict access to certain types of content, such as web content or in Game Center.
To change these preferences on your Mac, choose Apple menu > System Preferences, click Screen Time, select Content & Privacy in the sidebar, then click Content.
Turn on content & privacy restrictions: Click the Turn On button.
Turn off content & privacy restrictions: Click the Turn Off button.
Web Content
Select an option for web content:
Unrestricted Access: Any website can be accessed.
Limit Adult Websites: Automatically limits access to many adult websites. Click Customize to enter additional allowed or restricted websites.
To specify allowed websites, click the Add button below the Allow list, enter the website URL, then click OK.
To specify restricted websites, click the Add button below the Restricted list, enter the website URL, then click OK.
To remove an allowed or restricted website, select the website, then click the Remove button below the list it’s in.
To change the URL of an allowed or restricted website, select the website, click the Edit button below the list it’s in, edit the URL, then click OK.
Allowed Websites Only: Only allowed websites can be accessed. Click Customize to view the list of default allowed websites, and to add or remove allowed websites.
To specify an allowed website, click the Add button below the list, enter the website title and URL, then click OK.
To remove an allowed website, select the website, then click the Remove button below the list.
To change a website title and URL, select the website in the list, click the Edit button below the list, edit the title and URL, then click OK.
Allow
Select checkboxes to allow the following types of content:
Explicit Language in Siri & Dictionary
Web Search Content in Siri
Music Profiles
Leave the checkboxes unselected to restrict these types of content.
Game Center
Select checkboxes to allow the following actions in Game Center:
Allow Adding Friends
Allow Connect with Friends
Allow Private Messaging
Allow Avatar & Nickname Changes
Allow Profile Privacy Changes
Leave the checkboxes unselected to restrict these types of actions.
Multiplayer Games
Select options for multiplayer games in Game Center.
To specify the people a child can play games with, click the pop-up menu, then choose an option:
Allow with Everyone: The child can play games with anyone.
Allow with Friends Only: The child can play games only with friends added to their Game Center account.
Don’t Allow: The child is not allowed to play any multiplayer games.
Select “Allow Nearby Multiplayer” to let the child play multiplayer games with players on the same local network (for example, players connected to the same Wi-Fi network or who are located within Bluetooth range).
