Play a presentation over the internet in Keynote for iCloud
You can use FaceTime, Webex, Zoom, or another video conferencing app to play your presentation over the internet so everyone with access can view it at the same time—on their own devices, wherever they are. As the presenter, you control when the presentation starts and stops. You can also open the presenter display to help you deliver your presentation, while viewers see only the shared slideshow window.
In Keynote for iCloud, click the slide you want to start with in the slide navigator, then click the Play button .
The slideshow appears in the Keynote for iCloud window.
To open the presenter display, move your pointer over the bottom center of the slideshow, and when the controls appear, click the Open Presenter Display button .
The presenter display appears in a separate window, and by default, shows you the information and controls shown below.
If you haven’t already started your video conferencing call, start it now.
When you’re ready to share your presentation on the call, do one of the following:
In FaceTime: Click the FaceTime menu button in the menu bar at the top of the screen. In the pop-up menu that appears, click the Screen Sharing button , then click Window. Click the Keynote for iCloud slideshow window, then click the Share This Window button.
In other video conferencing apps: Use the app controls to share the Keynote for iCloud slideshow window. For more information, see the documentation that comes with the video conferencing app you’re using.
To start the presentation, press the Space bar or Right Arrow key.
If the presenter display is open, the timer starts and a green or red light indicates the status of the slideshow. A red light indicates a transition or animation is playing; the light turns green when it is done.
If you added presenter notes to your slides, you can refer to them in the presenter display while your slideshow plays in its separate window. For more information, see Use the presenter display.
Do any of the following:
Go to the next slide or build: Press the Space bar or Right Arrow key.
Go to the previous slide or build: Press the Left Arrow key.
Jump to a different slide: In the presenter display, click a slide in the slide navigator.
Jump to a specific slide number: Press any number key, then press Return.
See a complete list of navigation shortcuts: Press ? on the keyboard. You can also click the Presentation Shortcuts button in the top-right corner of the presenter display.
To stop sharing your presentation, do one of the following:
In FaceTime: Click the FaceTime menu button at the top of the screen, then in the pop-up menu that appears, click the Screen Sharing button .
In other video conferencing apps: Use the app controls to stop sharing the Keynote for iCloud window.
You can also post your presentation on a website that supports embedded Keynote presentations (such as Medium or WordPress) so that viewers can navigate through the presentation in a mini-player on the website. See Post your presentation in a blog in Keynote for iCloud.
