Unstabilize a clip in Motion
The Unstabilize behavior’s sole function is to apply movement recorded by a Stabilize behavior, letting you do any of the following:
Reapply camera shake or movement into a finished clip
Match the camera shake in a source clip to elements added in post-production
Unstabilize a stabilized clip
Note: A project must include a Stabilize behavior with recorded motion data before you can use the Unstabilize behavior.
Reapply camera shake or movement into a finished clip
In the layers list in Motion, select the layer to unstabilize, click Behaviors in the toolbar, then choose Motion Tracking > Unstabilize.
The recorded motion data from the existing Stabilization behavior is automatically applied to the Unstabilize behavior.
If you don’t want to use the automatically selected Stabilize behavior, do one of the following:
In the Behaviors Inspector or HUD, click the Action pop-up menu (with a gear icon), then choose a different Stabilize behavior.
Drag an analyzed tracking behavior from the Layers list to the Source well in the Behaviors Inspector or HUD.
The motion is applied to the selected layer.
For a full description of Unstabilize parameters, see Unstabilize controls.
