Modify Shazam app settings on Android
Use Shazam app settings to save your identified songs, sync your songs with Apple Music or Spotify, identify songs in other apps, change app preferences, and access support.
In the Shazam app on Android, tap (or swipe to the Library).
Tap , then adjust any of the following:
Save your Shazams: Lets you log in with your Google account or email to save your identified songs in the app library. This setting only appears when you’re not logged in.
Shazam from notification bar: Shows a persistent Tap to Shazam option in the notification bar, allowing you to identify music while using any app.
Shazam from Pop-Up: Lets you identify songs in other apps (such as TikTok).
Apple Music Connect: Lets you play full songs in the Shazam app or open your identified songs in Apple Music. When connected, existing and newly identified songs are automatically added to a “My Shazam Tracks” playlist in Apple Music.
Spotify Connect: Lets you open your identified songs in Spotify. When connected, newly identified songs are automatically added to a “My Shazam Tracks” playlist in Spotify.
Note: To use Spotify with Shazam, the Spotify app must be installed on your Android device and you must be a Spotify subscriber.
Themes: Sets the app interface to dark, light, or system default color scheme.
Autoplay videos: Automatically plays a video preview (if available) in the track screen.
Auto Shazam: Automatically turns on Auto Shazam when the app is opened.
Tip: You can control the Shazam app’s access to your device’s microphone in Android Settings > Privacy and in Android Settings > Apps > Shazam > Permissions > Microphone.
Shazam on startup: Lets Shazam start listening as soon as you open the app.
Vibrate: Allows a vibration (on supported devices) when Shazam identifies (or can’t identify) a song.
About: Provides links to legal and license information, and shortcuts to submit a diagnostic report and to reset your installation ID (see Shazam & Privacy on the Shazam website). Also displays your current app version.
Get Help with Shazam: Opens the Shazam User Guide on support.apple.com.
Manage your Apple Music account: Opens the subscription page in the Music app, allowing you to renew (or cancel).
