Edit client attributes in Remote Desktop
After adding a client to a computer list, you can edit its connection, addressing, or authentication attributes. If you change the IP address or fully qualified domain name (DNS name), the connection is severed and you have to locate that client computer again.
Edit a single client’s attributes
Edit a client’s connection and address attributes.
You can change the following attributes:
Address
DNS name
Remote Management port
Screen sharing port
Login
Password
Label
Network interface used for Task Server actions
In Remote Desktop , select a computer list in the sidebar of the main window, select one computer, then choose File > Get Info.
Click Attributes, click Edit, then edit any of the fields or choose a new label from the Label pop-up menu.
If the admin computer’s Task Server has multiple network interfaces, choose which network interface it uses for Task Server communication from the “Task Server selection” pop-up menu.
Click Done.
Edit attributes for multiple clients simultaneously
When editing attributes for multiple clients in a computer list, you can edit their login name and password authentication attributes simultaneously.
In Remote Desktop , select a computer list in the sidebar of the main window, select one or more computers, then choose File > Get Info.
Click Attributes, then click Edit.
If the admin computer’s Task Server has multiple network interfaces, choose which network interface it uses for Task Server communication from the “Task Server selection” pop-up menu.
Edit the Login or Password fields, then click Done.
