Save iCloud storage by backing up fewer apps
iCloud Backup can automatically back up your iOS or iPadOS device to iCloud. See What is iCloud Backup? You can increase available iCloud storage space by backing up only certain apps.
Note: If iCloud does not back up an app, it does not back up any of the app’s data. If you later restore your iOS or iPadOS device, the app can be reinstalled but its data cannot be restored if it was not backed up.
Turn backup on or off for specific apps
On your iOS or iPadOS device, go to Settings > [your name] > iCloud > Manage Storage > Backups.
Tap the name of your device, then, under Choose Data to Back Up, turn Backup on or off for each app.
The amount of iCloud storage used by each app is shown below each of your listed apps.
The apps list may be shortened. Tap Show All Apps to see a complete list.
Some Apple apps back up data in iCloud but are not included in the list of apps. You can only turn off backup for listed apps.
