Create and modify project presets in Motion
If you commonly create projects using properties that don’t match any available preset, you can create a custom preset for future use. Presets are created, modified, and deleted in the Presets pane of Motion Settings.
Create a custom preset
In Motion, choose Motion > Settings (or press Command-Comma).
Click Presets.
Click the Add button (+) beneath the presets list.
In the Project Preset Editor, enter the following information:
Name: Type a name for the preset.
Description: Type a brief description of what the preset is for, including significant characteristics such as frame size and frame rate.
Width and Height: Enter a frame size.
Projection Type: Choose Normal to create a standard project preset or 360° Monoscopic to create a 360° project preset.
Color Processing: Choose Standard Gamut SDR, Wide Gamut HDR, or Automatic.
Pixel Aspect Ratio, Field Order, and Frame Rate: Choose settings from the corresponding pop-up menus.

Click OK.
The new preset appears in the Presets pane and in the Preset pop-up menu in the Project Browser.
For detailed information about preset options, see Project Preset Editor settings.
Duplicate and edit an existing preset
The project presets that come with Motion appear with a lock icon and can’t be modified. However, you can duplicate an existing preset and then modify it.
In Motion, choose Motion > Settings (or press Command-Comma).
Click Presets, then select a preset.
Click Duplicate.
The duplicated preset appears underneath the original preset with “copy” appended to its title.
Select the duplicated preset, then click Edit.
Follow steps 4–5 in Create a custom preset.
Delete a custom preset
In Motion, choose Motion > Settings (or press Command-Comma).
Click Presets, then select a custom preset.
Click the Delete button (–) underneath the presets list.
Note: You can’t edit or delete locked project presets.
