Share notes on iCloud.com
If you’re using upgraded notes, you can invite people to view and edit a note. When you share a note, only people you invite can view and edit it, even if someone else has a link to the note.
When you share a note, the shared icon appears next to the note in the notes list, and when the note is selected, the View Participants button is highlighted and shows a checkmark.
Note: You can’t share a locked note.
In Notes on iCloud.com, select or write the note you want to share.
Click in the toolbar, then select a sharing option.
Email: Click Add People. In the window that appears, invite participants by adding their email addresses in the Add field. You can invite people using any email address or phone number, although participants need an Apple ID to view and edit a note. Choose their permission level, then click Share.
Copy Link: A new window appears with the link for your note. Send the link to your participants. Only the people you invited will be able to make changes.
Only the owner of a note can add and remove participants, although participants can always remove themselves.
In Notes on iCloud.com, select the shared note in the notes list.
Click , then do any of the following:
Add participants: Click Add People at the bottom of the participants list. When a person has been invited but has not yet accepted, Invited appears under the person’s name.
Remove participants: Hold the pointer over the person’s name, then click and choose Remove Access.
Remove yourself from a shared note
If you’re a participant, you can remove yourself from a shared note.
In Notes on iCloud.com, select the note you want to remove yourself from, then click .
Hold the pointer over your name, then click and choose Remove Me.
Stop sharing notes
You must be the owner of a note to stop sharing it.
In Notes on iCloud.com, select the note you want to stop sharing in the notes list.
Click , then do one of the following:
Stop sharing with all participants: Click Stop Sharing.
Stop sharing with just one participant: Hold the pointer over the person’s name, then click and choose Remove Access.
