Create and manage playlists in Apple Music on the web
You can create playlists to suit specific moods and to organise songs with a certain theme.
Playlists you create have the Playlist icon next to them.
Add a song to a new or existing playlist
At music.apple.com
, click Listen Now, Browse or any option below Library in the sidebar to see songs you want to add to your playlist.
Move the pointer over a song, click the More button
, choose Add to Playlist, then do one of the following:
Add the song to a new playlist: Choose New Playlist, edit the name of the playlist, then press Return.
Add the song to an existing playlist: Choose the playlist.
You can also add songs to an existing playlist by dragging them to the playlist in the sidebar.
Rename a playlist
At music.apple.com
, select a playlist in the sidebar.
Select the playlist name at the top of the window, then enter a new name.
Delete a playlist
At music.apple.com
, select a playlist in the sidebar.
Click the More button
at the top of the window, then choose Delete from Library.
If you have the Music or iTunes app on your computer or device, you can do much more with playlists, such as create a Smart Playlist that updates automatically based on criteria you choose, or a Genius Playlist that includes music in your library that’s similar to the selected song. To open the app directly from Apple Music online, just click the link in the bottom-left corner.
