About domain conflicts in Apple School Manager
You must resolve domain name conflicts. Domain names are registered and must be globally unique. The domain or domain name (as it is also commonly known), is the name that designates the larger organisation rather than an individual member.
If you attempt to verify a domain and verification fails, it may be that a different organisation is using the domain. For example:
Organisation A | Organisation B |
---|---|
Verifies domain townshipschools.org.au. | Can’t use the domain township.org.au because it was already verified by Organisation A. |
Example domain dispute workflow
Organisation B can choose to send their contact information (the name of the person requesting to be contacted, their email address and the name of their organisation) to Organisation A.
Organisation A chooses whether or not to contact Organisation B to resolve the domain claim.
Important: Apple doesn’t intervene in domain claims.
