If you don’t see Wi-Fi in Network preferences on Mac
If your computer has wireless capability but you don’t see Wi-Fi in Network preferences, the Wi-Fi service may not be set up.
On your Mac, choose Apple menu > System Preferences, then click Network.
Click the Add button at the bottom of the list.
Click the Interface pop-up menu, then choose Wi-Fi.
Enter a name for the service, then click Create.
By default, the service is named Wi-Fi, but you can provide any name you want.
Enter settings for the Wi-Fi service, such as the network name, then click Advanced to set other options.
To change which service is used first when more than one is active, click the Action pop-up menu , choose Set Service Order, then drag the network services in the list to change their order.
