Show or hide sidebars in Keynote on Mac
The Keynote window has a sidebar on the right that shows either the Format, Animate, or Document inspector. These inspectors have controls for formatting text and objects, for animating objects, and for setting presentation and audio options. You can show or hide the sidebar.
Format inspector: Click on the right side of the toolbar. To hide the sidebar, click the button again.
This inspector shows formatting controls for whatever is selected in the presentation, like text, a shape, or an image.
Animate inspector: Click on the right side of the toolbar. To hide the sidebar, click the button again.
This inspector shows controls for animating objects on a slide and setting transitions between slides.
Document inspector: Click on the right side of the toolbar. To hide the sidebar, click the button again.
This inspector shows formatting controls for elements that affect your entire presentation, such as the theme and the soundtrack.
To show or hide the sidebar, you can also choose View > Inspector > Format or View > Inspector > Hide Inspector (from the View menu at the top of your screen).
You can also view and manage objects (text boxes, lines, shapes, images, charts, and tables) in the object list.
