Use the Apple Business app
Overview
The Apple Business app brings your organization to iPhone and iPad. Everyone in your organization can use it to find coworkers, install the apps your organization provides, and see the devices they’re signed in to. Administrators (with appropriate permissions) who use the built-in device management service in Apple Business also get an Admin tab on iPhone, where they can manage people and devices from anywhere, reset a password, deactivate an account, or turn on Lost Mode.

What administrators can do in the Apple Business app
The Admin tab appears in the Apple Business app on a iPhone with the following requirements:
iOS 26 or later
A user with a role that has appropriate permissions needs to be signed in to their device with their Managed Apple Account.
The device needs to be enrolled in the built-in device management service in Apple Business.
The device requires a passcode.
The actions they see depend on the permissions associated with their role. If the user has no appropriate permissions, the Admin tab doesn’t appear, or the app tells the user to contact their organization for access. These permissions are Organization Administrator, IT Administrator, and custom roles your organization creates, such as People Manager or Device Enrollment Manager. Each action needs its own permission:
Reset a password or phone number: Reset Managed Apple Account passwords.
Deactivate or reactivate an account: Create, edit, and delete Managed Apple Account.
View devices: All Device permissions.
Sign out a user, turn Lost Mode on or off, lock, or erase a device: View and manage devices using built-in device management.
