View About settings on Mac

You can view details about your Mac in About settings. If you need to look up information about your Mac for service or requirements, you can see details including warranty and repair coverage and generate a detailed system report.

To view these settings, choose Apple menu > System Settings, click General in the sidebar, then click About.

Option				Description
Name				Shows the name of your Mac. You can select and change it.
Chip (Apple silicon) or Processor (Intel)				Shows the type of processor chip in your Mac.
Graphics (Intel only)				Shows the type of graphic chip in your Mac.
Memory				Shows the amount of total memory in your Mac.
Serial number				Shows the serial number of your Mac.
Coverage				Click the Details button to see the status of your warranty and coverage and access support options.
macOS				Shows the version of macOS on your Mac.
Displays				Click the Display Settings button to see settings selected for your display.
Storage				Click the Storage Settings button to see options for optimizing the amount of storage available on your Mac.
System Report				Click the System Report button to see an in-depth technical listing of your hardware, network, and software features.
