Amplify your sound with the Beats app for Android

Before creating an Amplify group, make sure the first Pill+ speaker is turned on and connected to your Android phone.

1. In the Beats app for Android, display the Pill+ device screen, then tap Amplify .

   If an Amplify or Stereo speaker group was not previously created, the app looks for the second speaker.

   

   Note: If you’re playing music, playback may pause until the Amplify group is created.

2. Make sure the second speaker is turned on and is discoverable.

   The button on the speaker pulses to indicate that Pill+ is in discovery mode, ready to be paired. If it doesn’t pulse, press for 3 seconds to initiate discovery mode.

3. In the Select a Pill+ screen, tap the name of the speaker you want add to the Amplify group.

   The Amplify group is created.

In the Beats app for Android, you can adjust the volume of each speaker in an Amplify group independently or simultaneously.

• Adjust the volume of each speaker separately: Drag the volume sliders left or right.

  

  The volume controls are only available while a track is playing.

  You can also adjust each speaker’s individual volume using the volume control buttons on each Pill+ speaker.

• Adjust the volume of both speakers simultaneously: Use the volume buttons on your paired Android phone or the onscreen volume controls in your music app. Both speakers change volume at the same rate. If one speaker is set to a lower volume, the volume changes proportionally.

1. In the speaker’s device screen in the Beats app for Android, do one of the following:

   • Tap Amplify .

   • Tap Break Group.

2. In the card that appears, tap “Break group.”

   

   Output returns to the first paired speaker.
