Create a spatial photo or view a spatial scene in Photos on Apple Vision Pro
You can easily create spatial photos using existing 2D photos in your library. You can also view 2D photos or spatial photos as spatial scenes that give a lifelike sense of depth and dimension to your memories.
Create a spatial photo from a 2D photo
Go to the Photos app
on your Apple Vision Pro.
Open a 2D photo (for example, a photo you captured on your iPhone).
Tap
at the top of the photo, then tap Create Spatial Photo.The spatial photo you created is also visible in the Spatial tab.
While viewing the created spatial photo, tap
to immerse yourself in the photo.To switch between the 2D and spatial versions of your photo, tap Spatial in the bottom-left corner of the photo, then tap Spatial On or Spatial Off.
The photo is still visible in the Spatial tab if you turn Spatial off. If you want to remove the photo from the Spatial tab, tap
at the top of the photo, then tap Undo Create Spatial.
You can share spatial photos and videos with others to view on their Apple Vision Pro or compatible iPhone or iPad.
View a spatial scene
Spatial scenes make it feel like you can lean in and look around in your photos.
Go to the Photos app
on your Apple Vision Pro.
Open a photo, then tap
at the top of the photo.
Note: You can view 2D photos or spatial photos as spatial scenes.
While viewing the spatial scene, tap
to immerse yourself in the scene.Tap
again to remove the spatial scene effect from your photo.
