iPhone 18 Pro Bottom Speaker (pSIM)
Before You Begin
Warning
Read Battery Safety and follow workspace and battery handling guidelines before you begin.
Remove the following parts before you begin:
Tools
Adjustable torque driver (10–34 Ncm)
Crosshead 44 mm half-moon bit
Crosshead 50 mm bit
Nylon probe (black stick)
Torque driver (gray, 0.55 kgf cm)
Torque driver (blue, 0.65 kgf cm)
Torque driver (teal, 0.75 kgf cm)
Torque driver (orange, 0.85 kgf cm)
Refer to a full list of tools required for all repairs.
Removal
Note: If you’ve already completed the removal steps, skip to reassembly.
Use a torque driver and the crosshead bit to remove eight crosshead screws, three from the SIM assembly and five from the bottom speaker. Complete the entire step before continuing to the next step.
Note: The screw closest to the USB-C connector is located on the sidewall of the enclosure.
Tilt the SIM assembly to access the flex cable underneath. Lift the end of the flex cable the connector.
Lift the SIM assembly out of the enclosure.
Lift the bottom speaker out of the enclosure.
Important: Don’t damage the grounding clips on the bottom speaker. If the grounding clips are damaged, replace the bottom speaker.
Reassembly

Ensure that the speaker port and speaker well are undamaged and free of debris.
Caution: Debris in the speaker port and speaker well may affect sound quality.
Align the bottom speaker with the speaker port as you lower it into position.
Set the torque value on the 10–34 Ncm adjustable torque driver to 14.5 Ncm. Use the adjustable torque driver and crosshead bit to install one new crosshead screw (923-15895) (H3) into the bottom speaker.
Set the torque value on the adjustable torque driver to 11.5 Ncm. Use the adjustable torque driver and crosshead bit to install two new crosshead screws (923-15897) (H5, H6) into the bottom speaker.
Use the teal torque driver and crosshead bit to install one new crosshead screw (923-15896) (H4) into the bottom speaker.
Use the gray torque driver and crosshead bit to install one new crosshead screw (923-15898) (J1) into the bottom speaker.
Note: The screw is located on the sidewall of the enclosure.
Push the SIM tray ejector into the housing before completing the next step.
Lower the SIM assembly into the enclosure. Press the end of the SIM assembly flex cable to the connector.
- Caution: Don’t damage the USB-C flex cable while lowering the SIM assembly into the enclosure.
Set the torque value on the adjustable torque driver to 14.5 Ncm. Use the adjustable torque driver and crosshead bit to install one new crosshead screw (923-15895) (E6) into the SIM assembly.
Use the orange torque driver and crosshead bit to install one new screw (923-15900) (E4) into the SIM assembly.
Use the blue torque driver and crosshead bit to install one new screw (923-15911) (E5) into the SIM assembly.
Reinstall the following parts to complete reassembly:
