Sace places in Maps on Mac
You can save places — such as a new place you want to try for lunch — so you can easily refer to them later. You can also add notes, visible only to you, to saved places.
Save a place
Go to the Maps app
on your Mac.
Click the location you want to save on the map, then click
near the bottom of the place card.
Tip: To rename the place, scroll down in the place card, click Pin, then rename it.
To see your saved places, click Saved Places in the sidebar.

To easily revisit or share a location you’ve been to, sign in to the same Apple Account on your iPhone and Mac, then click Visited Places. (Not available in all countries and regions.) See View and manage Visited Places in the iPhone User Guide. Visited Places are end-to-end encrypted and cannot be read by Apple. See the Apple Maps & Privacy website.
Add notes about a place
Go to the Maps app
on your Mac.
Click a place on the map, in the sidebar or in your Saved Places.
Near the bottom of the place card, click

Write something, then click Done.
If it’s not already saved, adding a note adds a location to Saved Places.
Share a place
Go to the Maps app
on your Mac.
Click Saved Places in the sidebar.
If you don’t see the sidebar, click
.
Control-click the place you want to share, choose Share, then choose how you want to share.
Note: Your notes aren’t visible to others when you share a place.
Remove a saved place
Go to the Maps app
on your Mac.
Click Saved Places in the sidebar.
Click
next to the place you want to delete, then choose Delete from Places.
