Develop communication plans
To assist your patients and staff, develop communication materials to promote your organization’s participation in Health Records. If your organization is large, work with relevant stakeholders across your organization—for example, from your marketing, public relations, in-house training, and IT departments—to develop these materials.
As described in Recommended: Finalize your patient communication plans, Apple will email communication guidelines and marketing collateral to your administrative and marketing contacts after approving your application to participate in Health Records. Apple can also assist your organization by reviewing drafts of its announcements about its participation in Health Records.
While developing your communication materials, consider:
How and when to announce to your patients that they can access their health records
When you make their health records available, be sure your patients have the information they need to access those records. To authenticate themselves on iPhone or iPad, for example, your patients need their user names and passwords for your patient portal. You can also provide your patients with a QR code with a direct link to your account sign-in screen in the Health app.
How and when to prepare your clinical and professional staff to respond to your patients’ questions about the health records that appear on iPhone and iPad
After you complete your preparations, proceed with the registration process by following the instructions in Tell Apple about your organization.
