Subscribe to Apple News+ in News on Mac
Apple News+ is a subscription service that provides access to full current and back issues of over 200 magazines, as well as various newspapers, directly in Apple News on your Mac.
Note: Apple News+ is available only in the U.S. and Canada.
Subscribe to Apple News+
In the News app on your Mac, click News+ in the sidebar (if you don’t see it, click in the toolbar), then click an Apple News+ subscription button (such as Get Started or Try It Free).
Follow the onscreen instructions. You may be asked to sign in to the iTunes Store or App Store using your Apple ID.
If you sign out of the iTunes Store or App Store on your Mac after you start your Apple News+ subscription, you can read only free stories on your Mac until you sign back in.
For more information about Apple News+ subscriptions, see this Apple Support article.
Cancel your Apple News+ subscription
In the News app on your Mac, choose File > Manage Subscriptions. You may be asked to sign in to the App Store using your Apple ID.
For your Apple News+ subscription, click Cancel Subscription.
Any Apple News+ stories you saved or issues you downloaded remain on your Mac unless it requires more disk space, at which time they’re deleted.
If you cancel your subscription during the free trial period, you can read only free stories. If you cancel your subscription after billing starts, you can continue to read all stories until your next billing date, at which point your subscription ends.
Share your Apple News+ subscription with Family Sharing
If you’re in an iCloud Family Sharing group and subscribe to Apple News+, your subscription is automatically shared with the group. Family members don’t need to do anything—Apple News+ is available to them the first time they open the News app after your subscription begins.
If you have a subscription to Apple News+ and join a family group that’s already sharing a subscription, your subscription is not renewed on your next billing date; instead you use the family’s Apple News+ subscription.
Note: To stop sharing your Apple News+ subscription with a family group, you can cancel the subscription, leave the family, or (if you’re the family organizer) turn off Family Sharing.
