View photos from your Mac on Apple TV
With Home Sharing enabled, you can share photos from your computer on Apple TV. Select which photos you want to share based on albums in Photos on a Mac, or just choose a folder on your Mac.
Share photos to Apple TV (macOS Catalina or later)
On your Mac, choose Apple menu > System Preferences, then click Sharing.
Make sure Home Sharing and Media Sharing are selected, then enter the Apple ID and password used to create your Home Share.
Select “Share photos with Apple TV,” then click Choose.
Click the “Share Photos from” pop-up menu and make sure your preferred photos app has a checkmark, then choose a folder to share.
Choose whether you want to share all your photos and albums or just selected albums, then click OK.
The photo albums or folders you share appear in the Computers app on Apple TV.
Share photos to Apple TV (macOS Mojave or earlier)
In iTunes on your Mac, go to File > Home Sharing > Choose Photos to Share with Apple TV.
The Photo Sharing Preferences window opens.
Select “Share Photos from,” then select Photos or iPhoto, or choose a folder to share.
Choose whether you want to share photos and albums or just selected albums, then click Apply.
The photo albums or folders you share appear in the Computers app on Apple TV.
