Get information about a disk on Mac
You can use Disk Utility to see detailed information about a disk, such as its format, its capacity and available space, and the number of folders and files on it.
On your Mac, open Disk Utility in the Utilities folder in Applications.
Select the disk you want to check.
Click the Info button in the toolbar.
