Set NetRestore source information in System Image Utility on Mac
You must define at least one source in the NetRestore Sources pane of System Image Utility on your Mac. The source consists of a URI and a description:
URI: The Uniform Resource Identifier for one of the following:
The Apple Software Restore (ASR) multicast stream. For example, asr://server.example.com:7800.
A web address containing the NetRestore image. For example, http://server.example.com/NetBoot/NetBootSP0/ArtClassroom.dmg.
Description: A description of what the URL points to.
The following options can be used to allow the user more flexibility when searching for a NetRestore source:
Browse for ASR multicast streams | Makes the client computer complete a DNS Service Discovery (DNS SD) browse command, looking for other ASR servers on the local network.
Browse for other NetRestore sources | Makes the client computer look for http and https NetRestore sources.
Manual source entry | Allows the user to manually enter a URI or URL to locate a NetRestore source. |
