
View and assign roles in Apple Business Manager
Roles are location-based. This means that a user can be assigned a Device Enrolment Manager role in one location but be assigned a Content Manager role in another location.
Because users can have several roles assigned to them, it is a good idea to plan role assignments before assigning any roles.
View a role
- In Apple Business Manager  , sign in as a user that has the role of Administrator or People Manager. , sign in as a user that has the role of Administrator or People Manager.
- Tap Access Management  in the sidebar, then tap Roles in the sidebar, then tap Roles . .
- Select a role to view a list of the privileges associated with it. 
- Tap the Search button  , then tap the Filter button , then tap the Filter button to filter your results. to filter your results.
Edit the role for a user
- In Apple Business Manager  , sign in as a user that has the role of Administrator or People Manager. , sign in as a user that has the role of Administrator or People Manager.
- Tap Users  in the sidebar, then search for a user in the search field. See How to search. in the sidebar, then search for a user in the search field. See How to search.
- Select the user from the list. 
- Tap the Edit button  , select a role and location, then tap Save. , select a role and location, then tap Save.
Edit the role for multiple users
- In Apple Business Manager  , sign in as a user that has the role of Administrator or People Manager. , sign in as a user that has the role of Administrator or People Manager.
- Tap Users  in the sidebar, then search for accounts in the search field. See How to search. in the sidebar, then search for accounts in the search field. See How to search.
- Select the users from the list. 
- Tap Add next to Add Role or Location, select a role and, if necessary, a new location for the users, then tap Continue. 
- Do one of the following: - Tap Activity to view this activity. 
- Tap Done.
