Installing macOS Server
You can make a server from a Mac with macOS 12 installed by downloading and installing macOS Server from the Mac App Store.
Before following the steps below to make your Mac a server:
Check macOS Server requirements.
On the Mac you want to make a server, open the App Store, then purchase and download macOS Server.
The Server app
is installed and opens automatically.Click Continue in the Server window, then follow the onscreen instructions to begin setting up Server.
After you enter an administrator name and password on your Mac, the Server app configures your Mac as a server.
