Set the default font in TextEdit on Mac
You can set the default font for your new documents.
In the TextEdit app
on your Mac, choose TextEdit > Settings, then click New Document.Below Font, click the Change button next to “Plain text font” or “Rich text font.”
Choose the font, size and style in the Fonts window.
