Get a demo project and other content in Final Cut Pro for iPad
You can explore all the features of Final Cut Pro for iPad by downloading a demo project. You can also download effects, transitions, titles, and other content that comes with Final Cut Pro for iPad, and access additional help resources.
Download and open the demo project
Go to the Final Cut Pro app on your iPad.
In the Projects screen, tap
, then tap Download Demo Project.The demo project appears in the project list on the left.
When the project finishes downloading, tap the project name.
To preview the project, tap
in the video preview area.To open the project, tap Edit under the video preview area.
The Edit screen opens, showing all the video, audio, and content clips used in the project arranged in the timeline. For an overview of the interface, see Edit screen.
Download included effects, transitions, music, and other content
After you install Final Cut Pro for iPad and create a project, you can download effects and other content.
Go to the Final Cut Pro app on your iPad.
Open a project, then tap
in the toolbar.Tap a content category at the top of the browser (Effects, Transitions, or Titles, for example).
Content thumbnails are grouped in subcategories in the browser. For example, the Effects category has Color, Blur, Distort, and other subcategories.
In the browser, tap
to the right of a subcategory name.All of the content in that subcategory is downloaded and installed in the app.
Note: To download a single content item, tap any thumbnail that has a Download button
in its upper-right corner.To download more content, scroll down in the browser, then repeat step 3 for each subcategory.
To download content in a different category, tap another category at the top of the browser (Backgrounds, Objects, or Soundtracks, for example), then repeat steps 3 and 4.

Go to the Final Cut Pro app on your iPad.
In the Projects screen, tap
, tap Manage in the sidebar, tap Help & Support, then tap an option:Final Cut Pro User Guide: Opens the Final Cut Pro User Guide for iPad (this guide).
Video Tutorials: Opens a webpage with video tutorials you can download.
Service and Support: Opens a webpage with links to Apple Support resources.
Send Feedback: Opens a webpage where you can send comments to Apple.
To close the sidebar and return to the Projects screen, tap All Projects in the sidebar.
Note: You can also access the user guide, video tutorials, and Apple Support resources from the Edit screen. Tap
in the upper-right corner, then tap an option.
