Manage macOS Server remotely
Use the Server app to connect to a server over the network and manage users, groups, services, and system information on the remote server. The remote server must have Server app 4 or later. To manage your server remotely, you must allow remote access. For information about allowing remote access, see Allow remote access to macOS Server.
- If necessary, install the Server app  on the Mac you want to use for administering your server. on the Mac you want to use for administering your server.- For instructions, see Administering macOS Server remotely. 
- In the Server app, choose Manage > Connect to Server. 
- Select the server you want to manage, then click Continue. - If you want to manage a server that isn’t listed, such as a server outside your intranet, select Other Mac, click Continue, then enter its host name or IP address. 
- Enter an administrator name and password for the server you selected, then click Connect.
