
Manage notifications from News on Mac
Many channels in Apple News send notifications about breaking news or important stories. You can choose to receive notifications for only certain channels. You can also change how the notifications appear or turn them off altogether.
Note: Apple News isn’t available in all countries or regions. See the Apple Support article Availability of Apple Media Services.
Receive notifications from a channel
- Go to the News app  on your Mac. on your Mac.
- Choose File > Manage Notifications & Email. 
- Turn notifications on for a channel, then click Done. 
Stop notifications from a channel
- Go to the News app  on your Mac. on your Mac.
- Choose File > Manage Notifications & Email. 
- Turn notifications off for a channel, then click Done. 
Change how you get notifications from News
- Go to the System Settings app  on your Mac. on your Mac.
- Click Notifications in the sidebar. (You may need to scroll down.) 
- On the right, click News (below Application Notifications). 
- Turn on or off the notification options you want. - To learn more about the options, click  in the bottom-right corner. in the bottom-right corner.
Note: To display notifications from News when a Focus is on, you must allow the notifications to appear. See Set up a Focus.
Turn off all News notifications
- Go to the System Settings app  on your Mac. on your Mac.
- Click Notifications in the sidebar. (You may need to scroll down.) 
- On the right, click News (below Application Notifications). 
- Turn off “Allow notifications”.
