Create and collaborate on playlists

A playlist is a custom compilation of songs and music videos. You might want to create a playlist to suit a specific mood or organise your music library.

When you subscribe to Apple Music, you can also share a playlist and collaborate on it with others. Everyone can add, remove and reorder music in the collaborative playlist.

Create playlists to organise your music

Go to the Music app on your Apple Vision Pro.
Tap Library in the tab bar, then tap New Playlist.
Enter a name and description. You can also add cover art and choose an image from your photo library.
Tap Create, then tap Add Music.
Search for a song, then tap to add it to the playlist.
To add music from anywhere in the Music app, you can also pinch and hold a song, then tap Add to a Playlist.
Tap Done when you’ve finished adding songs.
You can always tap Add Music again later to add more songs.

Edit playlists

You can rename playlists, change the artwork, add and remove songs, and more.

Note: The host of a collaborative playlist can make any changes to the playlist. Collaborators can only add, remove and reorder songs in the playlist.

Go to the Music app on your Apple Vision Pro.
Tap Library in the tab bar, then tap the playlist.
Tap , then tap Edit. You can make changes such as the following:
- Add a suggested song: Tap , then tap next to a song.
- Delete a song: Tap one or more songs, then tap .
- Reorder the playlist: Drag next to a song.

If you want to sort a playlist, go to the playlist, tap , tap Sort by, then choose an option.

Invite others to collaborate on a playlist

Go to the Music app on your Apple Vision Pro.
Tap Library in the tab bar, tap the playlist, then tap .
Tap Start Collaborating, then choose a sharing method.
To approve collaborators before they can join, turn on Approve Collaborators.
To adjust settings, invite or approve collaborators, or stop collaborating, tap , then choose an option.
