Intro to device management services in Apple Business Essentials
Apple Business Essentials automatically creates a device management service for you when you purchase a plan. All device management services appear in Preferences > Your Device Management Services. It’s possible to have an Apple Business Essentials service as well as external services, however, you can’t reassign devices you enroll with an Apple Business Essentials plan to an external device management service.
You can also add devices to an organization at the time of purchase or through Apple Configurator, and assign them to a device management service. Organizations can have multiple services.
