About the Pixelmator Pro file format in Pixelmator Pro on Mac
When you edit images in Pixelmator Pro, the changes you make are nondestructive. Nondestructive edits are reversible, so you can return to your original image, or previous editing states. In Pixelmator Pro, you can add text, adjust colors, add effects or custom styles, then return to modify individual changes whenever you’d like. The Pixelmator Pro file format (.pxd) was designed to save these adjustments with your file, so you can modify or reset them after closing and reopening your images.
