
Record to a track with Logic Remote on iPad
Using Logic Remote, you can remotely control some of the basic recording functions of Logic Pro.
You can also turn on the metronome — a count-in that plays four beats before recording starts to help you get ready.
Enable a track for recording
- In Logic Remote, tap the Record Enable button  for the track. for the track.
Start recording
- In Logic Remote, tap the Record button  in the control bar. in the control bar.
Start recording from the previous record position
- In Logic Remote, touch and hold the Record button  in the control bar, then tap Record / Record Repeat. in the control bar, then tap Record / Record Repeat.
- Tap the Record button  . .
This deletes the recording, moves the playhead back to the recording start position, and starts recording again.
Turn on the metronome
- In Logic Remote, tap the Metronome button  in the control bar. in the control bar.
You can also tap the control bar display to show the ruler, then swipe in the ruler to set the playhead a few beats before the point where you want the recording to begin. This gives you time to start playing.
