Add or remove configuration profiles in Apple Configurator for Mac

Add configuration profiles you created in Apple Configurator to unsupervised or supervised devices.

Note: Choose Window > View Activity to follow the progress as Apple Configurator prepares the devices.

Add configuration profiles to devices

Add profiles you created or received to a device.

Do one of the following:
- Connect an iPhone or iPad to the Mac with Apple Configurator installed, using the Thunderbolt or USB cable that came with the device.
- Connect an Apple TV (Wi-Fi + Ethernet only) over Ethernet.
If this is the first time you’ve plugged the iPhone or iPad into this Mac, tap Trust in the “Trust this computer” pane on the iPhone or iPad.
If the iPhone or iPad is locked, unlock it.
Drag and drop a configuration profile on the selected devices or Blueprints, or do one of the following:
- Click the Add button in the toolbar, then select Profiles.
- Choose Actions > Add > Profiles.
- Control-click the selected devices or Blueprints, and choose Add > Profiles.
Navigate to where the profiles are located, select the ones you want, then click Add Profiles.
Do one of the following:
- For unsupervised devices, follow onscreen instructions to add the profile.
- For supervised devices, Apple Configurator automatically adds profiles without user interaction.

Select the devices or Blueprints in the device window, then do one of the following:
- Choose Actions > Remove > Profiles.
- Control-click the selected devices or Blueprints, and choose Remove > Profiles.
Reconfirm that you want to remove the profiles, then click Remove.
