Adjust the volume, sounds, and haptics on Apple Watch
Set the audio and haptic options to ensure you receive notifications in a way that works best for you. You can adjust volume levels, choose from different alert sounds, and customize haptic feedback intensity.
Adjust the volume for media playback in Control Center
- Press the side button to open Control Center. 
- Tap  . .
- Drag the slider to adjust the volume level. 
Adjust the volume for ringtones and alerts
- Go to the Settings app  on your Apple Watch. on your Apple Watch.
- Tap Sounds & Haptics.  
- Adjust any of the following: - Silent mode: Silence all alerts. 
- Automatically Adjust Volume: Change the volume based on the ambient noise around you. (Available on Apple Watch Series 9, Apple Watch Ultra 2, and later. Not available on Apple Watch SE models.) 
- Level: Set the volume level to Default, Louder, or Quieter. 
- Alerts: Tap a category (such as Ringtone or Text Tone), then choose a sound. 
- Headphone Safety: Turn on Reduce Loud Sounds, then adjust the maximum audio level. 
 
Or on your iPhone, go to the Apple Watch app  , tap My Watch, then tap Sounds & Haptics.

Adjust haptic intensity
You can adjust the strength of the haptics—or wrist taps—Apple Watch uses for notifications and alerts.
- Go to the Settings app  on your Apple Watch. on your Apple Watch.
- Tap Sounds & Haptics. 
- Adjust any of the following: - Haptics: Set the intensity of haptics (wrist taps) to Default, Prominent, or Off. 
- Crown Haptics: Turn on or off haptics when you rotate the Digital Crown to scroll. 
- System Haptics: Turn on or off the haptics for system controls and interactions. 
 
You can also make these adjustments on your iPhone—go to the Apple Watch app  , tap My Watch, then tap Sounds & Haptics.
