The “current location” dialogue
Some apps and websites use information about your current location to provide you with certain information, services and features appropriate to where you are. For example, an app might use your information to help you find nearby coffee shops or cinemas. Your location is approximated using data from nearby Wi-Fi networks.
Information about your location is collected by Location Services in a way that doesn’t personally identify you. The information is used only by the apps that you authorise to obtain it. This feature is not available in all areas.
To authorise an app or a website to use your location information, click OK in the dialogue. If you don’t want to authorise the use of location information, click Don’t Allow.
If you allow third-party apps or websites to use your current location, you are subject to their terms and privacy policies and not the Apple Privacy Policy. You should review their terms and privacy policy to understand how they treat and use your location information.
See the Apple Privacy Policy.
