Translate text in a conversation in Messages on Mac
You can instantly translate messages you receive in a different language.
Note: Translation may not be available in all languages or in all countries or regions. See the macOS Feature Availability webpage.
Translate text
Go to the Messages app
on your Mac.Select a conversation.
Select the text you want to translate, Control-click the text, then choose Translate.
To change the language of the text you’re translating from or to, click on the language name and choose another language in the pop-up menu.
Use Live Translation
If Apple Intelligence* is turned on, you can use it to automatically translate text in Messages. See Translate messages, calls, and conversations.
