Create and manage lists of contacts on iCloud.com
When you create a contact, it is placed in the All Contacts list. To help organise your contacts and make them easier to find, you can create additional lists.
Note: You need to be on a tablet or computer to use Contacts on iCloud.com.
Create a list
Lists are in alphabetical order, with All Contacts at the top of the list.
- Go to icloud.com/contacts, then sign in to your Apple Account (if necessary). 
- Select  in the sidebar. in the sidebar.
- Type a name for the list, then tap or press Return or Enter. - To change the list name later, select  (on a computer, hold your pointer over the list until (on a computer, hold your pointer over the list until appears), select Rename List, then enter a new name in the text field. Tap or press Return or Enter. appears), select Rename List, then enter a new name in the text field. Tap or press Return or Enter.- Tip: You can create a new contact within a list. When the list is open, select  on the right, then add the contact details. on the right, then add the contact details.
Add contacts to a list
You can have the same contacts in more than one list. When you move a contact to a new list, it remains in the old list, unless you remove it.
- Go to icloud.com/contacts, then sign in to your Apple Account (if necessary). 
- Select one or more contacts that you want to move. 
- Drag the contacts to a list in the sidebar on the left. 
Remove a contact from a list
When you remove a contact from a list, it is removed from that list only. It remains in the All Contacts list.
If you delete a contact from the All Contacts list, it is deleted from all your devices that have Contacts turned on in iCloud settings.
- Go to icloud.com/contacts, then sign in to your Apple Account (if necessary). 
- Select the list that contains the contact you want to remove. 
- Select the contact, select  at the top of the contacts list, then choose Delete Contact. On a computer, you can also click the contact, then press Delete on your keyboard. at the top of the contacts list, then choose Delete Contact. On a computer, you can also click the contact, then press Delete on your keyboard.
Delete a list
When you delete a list, the contacts it contains remain in the All Contacts list.
- Go to icloud.com/contacts, then sign in to your Apple Account (if necessary). 
- Select  (on a computer, hold your pointer over the list until (on a computer, hold your pointer over the list until appears), then select Delete List. appears), then select Delete List.
If you accidentally delete a list or contact, you can restore an archived version of your contacts. See Restore contacts stored in iCloud on iCloud.com.
