Run a shortcut from Spotlight on your Mac
You can run shortcuts directly from Spotlight on your Mac, giving you a quick way to do your most frequent tasks. You can run the shortcuts that come with your Mac, as well as the ones you’ve added using the Shortcuts app.
On your Mac, click
in the menu bar or press Command-Space bar to open Spotlight.
Enter the name of the shortcut you want to run. For example:
Send Message: Composes a new message.
Start Timer: Starts a timer.
Create Note: Creates a new note.
Send Email: Creates a new email.
New Event: Creates a new event.
Tip: To narrow your search to just actions, press Command-3 after you open Spotlight.
