Learn how you can send and request Apple Cash in a group text message.

What you need

Send Apple Cash in a group text message

On your iPhone, iPad, or Vision Pro

  1. Open the Messages app, then start a new conversation or tap an existing one.

  2. Tap the plus icon, then tap Apple Cash.*

    • On iPhone or iPad, tap the plus sign until you see the dollar amount you want to send or tap Show Keypad, then enter the amount.

    • On Vision Pro, enter the amount that you want to send, then tap Send.

  3. Tap Send. Choose a recipient, then add a comment (optional). Tap the Send button to review the payment.

  4. Double-click the side or top button to pay, then confirm your payment with Face ID, Touch ID, Optic ID, or your passcode.

On your Apple Watch

  1. Open the Messages app, then start a new conversation or tap an existing one.

  2. Tap the plus icon then tap Apple Cash.

  3. Tap the plus sign until you see the amount you want to send or turn the Digital Crown.

  4. Tap Send, then choose a recipient.

  5. Double-click the side button to confirm.

Request Apple Cash in a group text message

On your iPhone, iPad, or Vision Pro

  1. Open the Messages app, then start a new conversation or tap an existing one.

  2. Tap the plus icon, then tap Apple Cash.

    • On iPhone or iPad, tap Show Keypad and enter the amount, or tap Show Keypad and tap Request Without Amount.

    • On Vision Pro, enter the amount you want to request or tap Request Without Amount.

  3. Tap Request, add an optional comment to the request such as 'groceries', then tap the send icon.

On your Apple Watch

  1. Open the Messages app, then start a new conversation or tap an existing one.

  2. Tap the plus icon, then tap Apple Cash.

    • To request a specific amount, swipe left on the Send button. Tap the plus sign until you see the amount you want to request or turn the Digital Crown, then tap Request.

    • To make a request without a specific amount, swipe left on the Send button until you see Request Without Amount, then tap Request.

View your past requests and payments

  1. On your iPhone, open the Wallet app and tap your Apple Cash card.

  2. In the Requests section, tap Group Conversation or the group name to see:

    • Who made payments

    • How much Apple Cash you’ve received

  3. If all participants have paid or you no longer want to track the request, tap Mark as Complete.

You can also see payments you've received in the Latest Transactions section, right below Requests. A group icon appears below the amount. To view past requests and payments on iPad or Vision Pro, go to Settings > Wallet & Apple Pay, tap Apple Cash, then tap Transactions.
