If Final Cut Pro for iPad isn't working

Restart your iPad

To restart your iPad, turn it off, then turn it back on.

Download a new copy of the demo project included with Final Cut Pro for iPad. Then try to recreate the issue you were having using the demo project and the included media.

Remove and reinstall Final Cut Pro for iPad

When you delete the Final Cut Pro for iPad app from your iPad, all related data — including projects, timelines, and imported media — are also deleted. Back up your projects before deleting the app from your iPad.

  1. Back up your projects and timelines.

  2. Remove the Final Cut Pro app from your iPad.

  3. Reinstall Final Cut Pro for iPad.

  4. Test with the demo project to see if the issue is resolved. If the issue no longer occurs, reimport your backed-up projects.
