Manage recommendations that appear in the Apple TV app
In the Apple TV app, you can get recommendations customized just for you, or for several members of your household if they have user profiles on Apple TV. For All of You recommendations take into account each profile’s individual taste and viewing history to find something that works for everyone.
Set up For All of You recommendations
Go to the Apple TV app
on Apple TV.Open the sidebar, then select Home.
Navigate down to the For You row, then navigate the profile icon
in the top-right corner of the row.When highlighted, the button is labeled Set Up.
Select Set Up, then select one or more user profiles to add or remove.
If a user profile doesn’t appear, select Add Users to Apple TV, then follow the onscreen instructions.
When you’re finished, select OK.
Note: If you have only two user profiles selected, the row is called For Both of You.
After you set up For All of You recommendations, select Edit in the top-right corner of the For All of You row to determine which user profiles are included in the recommendations.
Turn Shared with You on or off
When anyone sends you movie and show recommendations in the Messages app, their recommendations appear on the Home screen in the Apple TV app.
You can turn the Shared with You row off in Settings.
Go to Settings
on Apple TV.Go to Profiles and Accounts, then select the profile listed as Default.
Navigate to Shared with You, then do either of the following:
To turn Shared with You on: Select Shared with You, then select Allow on this Device and confirm with the notification that appears on your iPhone, iPad, or Apple Watch.
To turn Shared with You off: Select Shared with You so that it’s set to Off.
