Create projects using third-party apps in Photos on Mac
You can use third-party apps to create and print photo books, cards, calendars, framed prints, and more. You can download apps that work with Photos from the App Store. As new photo editing or print project apps appear, you can add them to Photos and take advantage of their special features.
Find and download third-party apps for projects
Go to the Photos app
on your Mac.Choose File > Create, choose a type of project, then choose App Store.

Click Get next to an app that interests you, then follow instructions to install it on your Mac.
You can turn individual apps on or off. In Photos, choose File > Create > Manage, then click 
next to Photos Projects. Turn the app on or off.
Create a print project using a third-party app
After installing an app that works with Photos, you can use that app to create new projects. For example, you can select photos and order prints using print apps such as Motif and Mimeo Photos.
Go to the Photos app
on your Mac.Choose File > Create, choose a type of project, then choose the app you want to use.
Follow the onscreen instructions to create your project.
If you installed an app and don’t see the app in the project submenu, choose File > Create > Other, then choose the app you want. If you still don’t see the app in the Other submenu, choose File > Create > Manage, then click next to Photos Projects. Make sure the app is turned on.
After creating your project, follow the onscreen instructions to print your project.
Convert a print project using a third-party app
Some third-party apps can convert a project that you previously created for printing with Apple Print Products. If the project can be converted, you see a Convert button in the toolbar when you select the project.
Go to the Photos app
on your Mac.In the sidebar, select the project that you want to convert.
Note: If you use iCloud Shared Photo Library, you must choose Both Libraries from the Library pop-up menu in the toolbar to see projects you’ve created.
Click Convert.
Choose the app that you want to use for the project, or choose App Store to look for an app for your type of project.
Follow the onscreen instructions to convert your project.
