Show the word count and other document statistics in Pages for iCloud
You can view the character or word count (with or without spaces), and the number of paragraphs and pages in your document.
Do one of the following:
Check the entire document: Make sure no text is selected.
Check only a portion of the document: Select the text you want to check.
Click the View button
in the toolbar, then choose Show Word Count.The word count appears in a pop-up menu near the bottom of the page.
Do any of the following:
See all document statistics: Click the arrow on the right side of the pop-up menu.
Choose the statistic you want to see: Click the pop-up menu, then choose an item.
Move the document statistic pop-up menu: Drag it anywhere on the document.
Close the document statistic pop-up menu: Click the View button in the toolbar, then choose Hide Word Count.
