Change Privacy & Security Advanced settings on Mac
On your Mac, use the Advanced options in Privacy & Security settings to adjust the security settings of your Mac.
To change these settings, choose Apple menu 
in the sidebar, then click Advanced. (You may need to scroll down.)
Open Privacy & Security settings for me
Option | Description |
|---|---|
Require an administrator password to access system-wide settings | Prevent users from changing locked system settings without an administrator’s password. |
Log out automatically after inactivity | Automatically log out users after the Mac is idle. |
Log out after | Automatically log out users after the Mac is idle for the specified number of minutes. (This option appears when “Log out automatically after inactivity” is selected above.) |
Turn on screen saver when login token is removed | Turn on the screen saver on your Mac when a Smart Card containing a login token is removed. (This option appears when you insert a Smart Card that has been added to your login keychain.) |
